It's been almost three months since the first Captain Marvel trailer dropped, near breaking the internet in the process. The film-a 90's-set MCU prequel starring Brie Larson as the superhuman Kree/human hybrid Carol Danvers-is set to fly into theaters on March 8, 2019.
Everyone thought the trailer for A4 would drop last week, which linked up to the same timeframe as Infinity War's trailer previous year, however when the Russo Brothers turned up for a live Q&A at a screening of the last instalment they flatly refused to even discuss Avengers 4, let alone give us a trailer.
If you're unfamiliar with Secret Wars, it was a twelve issue event running between 1984 and 1985 and saw The Beyonder transporting numerous biggest heroes and villains from the Marvel universe to Battleworld, where they are pitted against one another.

Well, if the Avengers 4 trailer will drop on coming Monday, then it will give nearly six months to fans to speculate and come up with different theories before the official release. Besides introducing the first female headlined Marvel superhero flick, Captain Marvel is important also because of the implications it has for Avengers 4.
Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, and co-starring Larson, Jude Law, Samuel L. Jackson, and Ben Mendelsohn, Captain Marvel is a 1990s-set MCU prequel that follows powerful part-human, part-alien Carol Danvers, who finds herself smack bang in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races.
