Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled Speeds Onto The Switch In June Next Year

Having just been announced at The Game Awards, Activision released some new screenshots showcasing the remake's updated graphics, with a few comparison shots included.

This version of the game is rebuilt from the asphalt up and includes everything that came in the original game, plus new karts and tracks.

With online multiplayer and four-player split screen, Crash Team Racing looks to be an unbelievable recreation of one of the best Mario Kart competitors ever made.

There's a brief moment within the footage that showcased Crash behind the wheel of several different karts; a feature that was not present in the original title. You can check out the debut for the game below. Other Crash racing games released for multiple platforms afterward, but this marks the first time since 2010's Crash Nitro Kart 2 for mobile that we've seen the mascot hit the open road. We'll add it here when it appears.

Developed by Beenox and published by Activision, "Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled" is a remaster that's been rebuilt from the ground up. Buyers will also receive a copy of the game with the digital deluxe edition. Familiar characters like Crash, Coco, Dr. Neo Cortex, and the rest of the familiar "Crash" game join together to take on the villain Nitros Oxide in a mad dash to save the planet from certain destruction.
