Eden Hazard must decide over new contract, says Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri

Hazard: Real Madrid reportedly agree terms with Chelsea man

Report: Real Madrid To Use One Of Two Players In Deal For Eden Hazard

Chelsea hope their offer to make Eden Hazard the highest paid player in the club's history will finally fend off interest from Real Madrid.

The news cycle surrounding Chelsea never stops and as such, it can be hard to keep up to date with everything that's going on.

"He wants to play Champions League football - he hasn't this year - but if they can get that spot for next year and add a couple of top quality players then it can [help] change his mind". But they found themselves in a similar situation last season with Hazard's Belgium worldwide team-mate Thibaut Courtois.

The Belgian has 18 months left on his existing deal at the club and has admitted that he is torn between signing a new deal or joining La Liga club, Real Madrid.

The Blues, however, will not let the former Lille winger leave easily, and are believed to be demanding a fee of €170 million (R2.6 billion) for the player.

Arsenal legend Martin Keown blames Chelsea coach Maurizio Sarri for Eden Hazard poor form so far after a blistering start of the season.

"It's up to him".

"I want Eden here, of course", said the Italian.

Long-term Chelsea target Daniele Rugani is poised to sign a new contract at Juventus.

This rumour has been doing the rounds for a number of months now, with the Belgium global edging worryingly closer to the end of his contract at Stamford Bridge.

A part-exchange deal involving Mateo Kovacic could provide a solution to that problem, with the Croatian midfielder keen to stay in West London when his current loan deal ends in the summer.
