Hazard finally has Chelsea manager who wants to attack, says Kompany

Kompany's Belgian global teammate has enjoyed a sensational start to the season under Maurizio Sarri, scoring seven goals and providing six assists in 14 Premier League games.

Sky Sports are reporting a contract has been offered to the player and his representatives, with Hazard yet to decide on his future.

Hazard, however, will not come cheap and Chelsea may still do all they can to make this transfer tricky for Los Blancos by demanding as much as €170million (£151m) for their star player.

Kovacic was a second-half substitute on Wednesday night but was unable to prevent Chelsea FC from slipping to a disappointing 3-1 loss to Wolves in the Premier League.

Arsenal legend Keown believes the Italian tactician must shoulder some blame for Hazard's dip and - more importantly - be the man to stabilise his form.

When Eden Hazard is on it, I do not believe there is a defender in world football who could live with him.

"Hazard is without a goal in 11 games for club and country", Keown told MailOnline.

But if push comes to shove and they can't hold on to him anymore, then Chelsea will reportedly take nothing short of staggering 170million GBP for his signature.

The Belgium teammates will face each other at Stamford Bridge on Saturday with Chelsea desperate to cut the 10-point deficit on Premier League leaders City.

"If he is going to go, let's see if he can leave a dent in this Manchester City team first".

'Eventually a manager like this is what he needed, no matter where he was, to get the best out of him.
