Claire Foy, Jason Momoa, Matt Damon to Host ‘Saturday Night Live’

Steve Carell isn't the only local actor taking on "Saturday Night Live" hosting duties this season.

Saturday Night Live is going into December with its guns fully out, bringing in heavyweight talents for three back-to-back episodes in the last month of 2018.

Momoa hosts for the first time on December 8 with musical guest Mumford & Sons, making their third appearance. Momoa is set for the biggest publicity blitz of his career for playing the title hero in Aquaman, but we certainly do think that he's got a great sense of humor and he should find a way to really embrace this. The first-time hosts have a lot in common, including fall movies (First Man, Aquaman) and popular TV shows (The Queen, Game of Thrones).

Claire Foy, who played The Crown's enchanting queen in the first two seasons and who's promoting two movies out now, First Man and The Girl in the Spider's Web - will kick things off when she hosts on December 1. She will be joined by musical guest Anderson.Paak following the release of his star studded album Oxnard.

"SNL" announced on Twitter Monday afternoon that Matt Damon will host the December 15 episode of the long-running variety show, with Marc Ronson and Miley Cyrus serving as musical guests. Damon appeared on SNL earlier this season to rave reviews as Brett Kavanaugh.
