With Nokia's continued participation to Google's stock Android program, buyers of the handset should continue to expect at least two software upgrades from the device maker.

Nokia India has been sending out the press invites to media outlets for a product event on December 6. It is expected to be launched in India a day later, i.e. December 06.

The leaked renders of the upcoming Nokia 8.1 confirm that the device is codenamed "Phoenix" and happens to be the global variant of the China-only Nokia X7.
