Indian skipper Virat Kohli is at the 2nd spot while actor Akshay Kumar at 3rd with earnings of Rs 228.09 crore and 185 crore respectively. During this period, Salman Khan starred in two blockbuster films - Tiger Zinda Hai and Race 3.

Meanwhile, the list has been topped by Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. The Don's earnings were estimated at Rs 56 crore.

Other celebrities to make it to the top 10 are - cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni, actors Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Ranveer Singh, retired cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, and actor Ajay Devgn.

There is mixed representation from the prolific South Indian film industry.

Hardik Pandya turned out to be a huge gainer on the list of sportspersons, as he bagged Rs 28.46 crores in 2018 as compared to Rs 3.04 crores a year ago.

Priyanka Chopra, who has recently got married to American singer Nick Jonas, has slipped down from 7 to 49 position with earnings of only Rs. 18 crore.

Rohit Sharma is the fifth highest earning sportsperson in India followed by Hardik Pandya who is the biggest gainer this year.
