Sonali Bendre who had been undergoing cancer treatment in NY is now back in Mumbai.

Mumbai: Sonali Bendre, who has been battling cancer for a while now, returned to Mumbai in the wee hours of Monday.

Sonali Bendre took to social media to talk about her poor health.

Without divulging any details about her treatment, Sonali said, "The fight is not yet over". She was undergoing treatment for high grade cancer in NY. Being away from home in the city of NY, I realised I was walking amongst so many stories", further adding, "And now I'm on my way back to where my heart is.

Sonali announced earlier this year that she was diagnosed with a high grade metastatic cancer. She was spotted at Mumbai airport with her husband and child.

He added: "There is nothing as such she will have to go back for".

Sonali, known for films like Sarfarosh, Hum Saath-Saath Hain and Duplicate, has been putting up a fearless fight against metastatic cancer for months. Hrithik Roshan's ex-wife Sussanne Khan and former actor Gayatri Joshi have visited her, and together they had posed pictures with Sonali. She is recovering very well.For now, treatment has ended.

Calling it her new normal, she added, "It's time to learn that there is a new normal out there and I can't wait to embrace it and #SwitchOnTheSunshine". What has helped has been the huge outpouring of love and support I've received over the past few days, for which I am very grateful. "She is a very strong and determined woman and I am very proud of her". She is home just for a break. "Love you too much". Abhishek Bachchan gave a virtual hug to her, on the other hand, Twinkle Khanna sent out kisses.
