"You can not have chosen a community that is more football-centric, with Tampa Bay being a proven victor in hosting major sporting events and sports franchises", Hillsborough County commissioner Ken Hagan said at a news conference in East Rutherford, N.J. (Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports) The XFL's St. Louis franchise will play its games at The Dome at America's Center.

It's kind of hard to believe that the XFL is coming back in 2020, but with each passing day, we get a little closer to Vince McMahon's second attempt at starting a professional football league.

Beyond the presser, the XFL posted a video with a list of the cities to its official Twitter account.

The Gateway to the West, St. Louis represents opportunity, promise, and a legacy of great football.

In a major announcement this afternoon, the XFL revealed all eight teams that will compete in their upcoming 2020 relaunch, as well as plenty of new details for the alternative football league. He also said they've taken input from fans and some of their best ideas have come from them.

McMahon is "personally funding" the new leaugue. Luck also emphasized that they want to keep ticket prices low for families. Each team will have a 45-man active roster and the league will play a 10-week regular season. It looks like the XFL will know if that is going to work soon enough, because even though the games aren't scheduled to kick off until February 2020, fans can make sure they have a seat for the event where ever they want to catch a game.

The XFL was originally founded in 1999, but closed after one season.
