First 15-0 team, to beat Notre Dame and to beat Alabama to do it, this team won 13 games by 20 points or more and led by an unbelievable group of seniors, wonderful group. "But I'm just telling you if I can do it, and those Clemson Tigers can do it, anybody can do it if you just have a belief in yourself and what you are doing and you surround yourself with great young people that are passionate about winning". Overall, the sophomore went 22 for 34 for 295 yards and two touchdowns in the game.

On Clemson's second offensive possession of the night, they made the most of it. Freshman quarterback Trevor Lawrence throwing two big passes to get the Tigers in scoring position, and running back Travis Etienne finishing the drive with a 17-yard scamper to the end zone to cap off another touchdown drive in just 90 seconds of game time.

And when Alabama went down to Clemson, the fans couldn't help but bring it up again. The Tide won their first 14 games by an average of 31 points per game. That's because the rapper - much like his favorite team - got absolutely pummeled by Twitter for seemingly playing a role in the Crimson Tide getting destroyed by Clemson for the national title.

"I feel like it's not really up for debate", Clemson cornerback Trayvon Mullen said.

"We had a great season, but five words: Good is not good enough", Tagovailoa said. The Tigers have evened the score and are now 2-2 with the Crimson Tide in the playoff. "We just weren't executing what we were - what the plays were".

Scrambling Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is surrounded by Clemson defenders during the first half Monday.

Etienne ran for 86 yards and two touchdowns on 14 attempts, also catching a 5-yard TD pass. Three plays later, Lawrence faced down a pass rush and slung a pass to Ross, who was alone after Alabama defensive back Saivion Smith went down with an apparent leg injury. Clemson finished No. 1 in the AP poll for the third time. "Only God can do this and that's a fact", Swinney said.
