They'll look to extend a current four-game winning streak when traveling to face the Miami Heat on Thursday in a televised matchup between the two Eastern Conference teams.

Wade dropped three stellar three-pointers before the end of the period to help Miami regain its double-digit lead. He's like, 'Yo, I'm going to need that jersey.' So I go and I look at when we're playing them, thinking we're about to play Boston. "Sometimes this league is just about having great players in those important moments, swing moments during the course of a game". Miami had 33 assists on 45 field goals.

"We're trying to move up". "You want to be able to win some of these games against the top teams".

The Boston Celtics have hit the midway point of the season and are now 25-16, good for fifth in the Eastern Conference.

Irving went to the Heat practice court immediately after the game, shooting for about 30 minutes.

Josh Richardson tallied 18 points and Derrick Jones scored 14 for the Heat, who ended a two-game skid and improved to 20-20 on the season.

The Heat took a 61-43 lead into halftime.

The Celtics trailed by 26 points in the third quarter before closing on a 26-11 run. The loss came 24 hours after Boston scored a season-high 135 points in a win over Indiana.

Their 25-15 record is solid, but they're 4.5 games back of first place.

They trailed for 4:14 in the first quarter alone on Thursday, and that set the tone.

Boston will continue their road trip on Saturday night in Orlando, followed by a matchup against the Nets in Brooklyn on Monday night.

Heat: It was Miami's 400th consecutive home sellout. Winslow wore "RIP Sammy Farkas" on his sneakers, a tribute to a Miami Beach teen who died in a fall earlier this week. Brown was benched the rest of the half and did not re-enter until just before the end of the third quarter.

Miami carried an 83-72 lead into the fourth quarter, and Boston never seriously threatened. The last meeting between the clubs, before Thursday, came on December 20, 2017.
