Nurmagomedov was suspended nine months by the NSAC and fined $500,000 for his actions as part of the UFC 229 brawl that occurred in the aftermath of the main event between him and rival Conor McGregor.

But he has previously said he wants to book a rematch against Khabib Nurmagomedov later in the year. While that was going on, members of Nurmagomedov's team were seen invading the Octagon and exchanging punches with McGregor.

Should Khabib take up the boxing offer?

"The state of Nevada is where drugs, prostitution and gambling are officially permitted", Nurmagomedov said. "Let them work on themselves [and their own behavior]".

With Nurmagomedov also reportedly chasing a super-fight with Georges St-Pierre, it'll be interesting to see how the UFC finds a workaround and who'll be in the championship picture. "Probably a three-fight, four-fight, five-fight, billion-dollar deal if that's what I wanted".

Conor McGregor will return to UFC in the summer, according to his boss Dana White.

McGregor is now serving a six-month ban for his actions in the unsavoury ruckus which marred the biggest event in UFC history.

With Nurmagomedov out for the short-term future, the UFC may opt to make an interim title fight.

Nurmagomedov was suspended nine months and fined $500,000 for inciting a post-fight melee following his victory over Conor McGregor in the UFC 229 main event at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on October 6.

Speaking with ESPN's Brett Okamoto, White was asked about Nurmagomedov's intentions and whether they may create the need for an interim title at 155.

"It could be between [Dustin] Poirier and [Tony] Ferguson". And then at the end of the year we will fight for a real belt.

'I think that could happen.

Nurmagomedov later captioned an Instagram post with DiCaprio: "He knows about UFC more than me".
