Lottery victor claims prize in "Scream" mask to hide identity

According to reports, a person recently won the Super Lotto in Jamaica, and wore a "Scream" mask to claim the prize last week.

One man in Jamaica was the lucky victor of the country's Super Lotto and went to great lengths to keep his identity secret when showing up to claim his prize in a full-on Scream suit made famous in the 1996 thriller, CBS reports.

The man won the lottery almost two months ago, but said he was sick and didn't collect the jackpot until now.

I looked at my ticket [that night] and ran into my bathroom and said: 'I won! "I haven't found it yet, but I'll be looking for one soon", he said.

Campbell said his head hurt and his belly ached for two weeks, wondering if it was true.

Last year, another Jamaican lottery victor wore a yellow emoji mask to protect their identity after winning a $1.8 million lottery.

In Campbell's own telling, he picked his winning numbers (10, 14, 16, 25, 27, and super ball 5) from a dream that he had.

"They usually don't need our help, and they are usually very creative, perhaps beyond anything that we could think of or imagine, and it has been very effective over the years", she continued. The owners of the Super Lotto even put out advertisements urging the victor to claim the prize before reaching the 90-day deadline.

He told the Jamaica Star that he plans to buy "a nice house". The "Scream" mask is also known as the "Ghostface" mask.
