Three Harrison Barnes trade ideas before deadline

NBA Harrison Barnes shockingly traded away to Sacramento Kings while on-court for Dallas Mavericks

VIDEO: Harrison Barnes Gets Traded to Kings Mid-Game in Dallas

The Dallas Mavericks traded Harrison Barnes to the Sacramento Kings in the middle of their game against the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday night, but it appears Barnes was aware of that possibility beforehand.

National Basketball Association veteran Harrison Barnes reportedly knew he was on the verge of being traded - but judging by his on-camera reaction, he didn't expect it the deal to go through in the middle of a game.

Before Pierce's report, the mid-game trade of Barnes led Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James to highlight what he believes is a double standard between organizations and players.

National Basketball Association veteran Harrison Barnes looked just as shocked as everyone else when he learned during the middle of the game against the Charlotte Hornets that he was being traded to the Sacramento Kings.

LeBron James wants the "narrative" around player movement to change.

We have another major National Basketball Association trade this evening, with the Dallas Mavericks shipping out small forward Harrison Barnes.

"So let me guess this is cool cause they had to do what was best for the franchise right???", he wrote on Instagram.

Barnes was traded for Kings forwards Zach Randolph and Justin Jackson. I'm ok with both honestly, truly am.

"He's a better man than me, for sure", Dallas veteran Dirk Nowitzki said of Barnes. He's just a genuinely good dude and he's obviously got bonds with some of these players here for life. The first teenager with multiple triple-doubles, Doncic had 11 assists and 10 rebounds on a rough shooting night (5 of 20, including 2 of 10 from 3-point range). He thanked the Mavs on social media after the game.

Next season, the Mavericks will owe a combined $31 million to Courtney Lee and Tim Hardaway Jr, who they acquired last week in the trade that took Kristaps Porzingis to Dallas.
