Apex Legends Battle Pass Outlined; Here's How Season 1 Works

The wait is finally over. Octane is not a part of the battle pass and will release separately, allowing you to buy him with Legend Tokens or Apex Coins.

EA and Respawn Entertainment have officially announced the release date for Apex Legends' Battle Pass. Season 1 titled "Wild Frontier" will kick off on Tuesday, March 19.

There's also word on Octane, the shooter's brand new character.

The Season 1 battle pass has 100 levels in total, and contains an assortment of weapon skins, stat trackers, Legend voice lines, and Apex Coin and XP drops as rewards. His Launch Pad Ultimate Ability lets his squad fly through the air with the greatest of ease. Continue to play and level up the pass to earn even more.

Still, at least you'll have something to work toward if you want to keep playing Apex without ever spending a single dollar on the title.

If you don't plan on paying for the season one Battle Pass, though, but still want to get involved, don't worry-Respawn has you covered.

"To get the Battle Pass, jump into Apex Legends and head to the Battle Pass tab in the store", Electronic Arts' announcement said. You'll also immediately unlock the Lifeline Revolutionary skin, the Wraith Survivor skin, and the Mirage Outlaw skin simply for buying the Battle Pass. It'll cost players 950 Apex Coins - the nearest real money equivalent is £7.99, which buys you 1,000 of the in-game currency. Regardless, whether you buy the pass or not, you'll be able to unlock free rewards during Season 1. This first season of the game will give players a variety of free rewards to earn along with introducing the game's ninth playable character first post-launch addition in Octane.

The next era of Apex Legends begins tomorrow, March 19th, at 10 am PST.
