Epic will receive no revenue share from the sale of those games purchased through the Humble Store.

This is a big deal because Epic seems to be ramping up its efforts to compete with Steam and other storefronts by wooing developers to the Epic Games Store. To entice gamers, Epic is offering a free game every two weeks throughout 2019. Of course we don't know the sales that Metro Exodus would have on Steam, however it's good knowing that the game did well on the PC platform.

At GDC today, Epic Games announced that it's partnering with Humble Bundle to let developers sell their Epic Games Store titles-including exclusives-on the Humble Store.

Ancestors: Humankind Odyssey, another game published by Private Division, is also earmarked for the Epic Store. Outside of the titles that are confirmed as EGS exclusives, such as Control and The Outer Worlds, the company also took to sharing some of the stats behind one of its recent exclusives, Metro Exodus, and how it has fared since coming to EGS as an exclusive.

The Outer Worlds will feature a player-driven story - where your choices affect story development, your character build, and the end game.

"It's really about the games, not the store you sell on", said head of Epic Games Store Steve Allison.

If the performance hit with Chaos is not massive, we may start seeing it more and more in Unreal Engine games.
