Earlier this week former two-division champion Conor McGregor found himself in trouble with the law yet again, this time in Miami Beach, FL.
Miami-Dade County court records show that 22-year-old Ahmed Abdirzk filed a lawsuit seeking more than $15,000 on Thursday, accusing 30-year-old McCregor of battery, assault and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
McGregor was arrested and charged with strong-armed robbery and misdemeanour criminal damage, and spent the night in jail before being released on bail.
And in the footage doing the rounds, McGregor can be seen stomping on the phone with his designers but the thunderous thud of him stepping on it can also be heard very, very loudly.
The video allegedly shows McGregor slamming his foot down on the man's phone at around 5 a.m. on Monday morning.
McGregor is expected back in court on April 10.
McGregor's attorney, Samuel Rabin, called the civil case "a quick effort seeking a payday".
Otherwise, it should be noted that McGregor had just finished his community service work after an arrest a year ago in NY, where the former UFC champion ultimately pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and avoided jail time.
You can hear what sounds like a loud stomp and the fan saying, "Let me get my phone man".
He was released from custody in the Florida city after posting his bond of $12,500. He was subsequently arrested and charged with robbery/strong-arm and criminal mischief over $1,000.
