There's something magical about the catharsis that Rebellion's Sniper Elite series is capable of delivering when all the pieces line up.
Alongside the confirmation of Sniper Elite 5, Rebellion is working on several other titles associated with the series.
This includes Sniper Elite 5, a brand new Sniper Elite standalone VR game, as well as two games for Nintendo Switch. So yeah, this seems like a game targeting next-generation platforms.
According to Rebellion, this game will offer stunningly enhanced graphics, 4K resolution and HDR display, making it the visually definitive version of Sniper Elite V2.
The first of those projects will be a remaster of Sniper Elite V2, which will see players return to the Berlin campaign in the closing moments of the Second World War. There will also be all new characters to play, as well as a Photo Mode and online multiplayer for up to 16 players.
Sniper Elite III first launched for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC in July 2014, followed by the Ultimate Edition in March 2015.
Meanwhile, Sniper Elite 3 Ultimate for Nintendo Switch will also be arriving sometime this year. More details promise to reveal in the coming year. Take a look at the Sniper Elite Development Update video and Sniper Elite V2 Remastered reveal trailer below.
