To-play 'cinematic' racer Forza Street slides onto Windows 10

Windows 10 free-to-play racing game Miami Street gets rebranded as Forza Street, coming soon to iOS and Android

Forza Street is a free-to-play PC game and the worst Forza game to date

Forza Street has mobile-friendly one-minute Street Showdowns as well as an overarching story and a focus on upgrades. While you will be taking part in events, become an infamous street racer and building up a rocking auto collection, the game that surrounds all of these ideas isn't anywhere near as interesting. Xbox says that the Android and iOS versions will roll out this year, though that doesn't really give a great sense of the timeline.

There's a new Forza experience available on Windows 10 called Forza Street. "With the game available today on Windows 10 devices, we will continue to add features and actively engage with and listen to our community to make Forza Street the game our fans will want to take with them everywhere", wrote Andy Beaudoin, Design Director, Forza Street.

In other words, it looks a lot like other popular mobile racing games, like those in the Asphalt and Need for Speed series. Forza Street was leaked in March and now it's been officially announced and simultaneously released on PC.

According to Microsoft in Forza Street, players "can collect and assemble a legendary lineup of cars to compete in intense, cinematic races". Players will get access to both campaign gameplay and quick races, among other things. Forza Street is far more palatable as an every-so-often distraction while you're watching TV or waiting in line than it is a sit-down-and-play desktop game.
