Although a cause of death wasn't given, a police spokesperson confirmed that there was "no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death" and the case would be referred to a coroner.

Magasiva portrayed Red Wind Ranger Shane Clarke in the Power Rangers show, a spin-off of the original that aired in 2003.

HIs family, including actor brother Robbie Magasiva and twin brother Tanu, are yet to comment on the death.

Magasiva has a young daughter from his first marriage, and Sadler has a daughter from a previous relationship.

On Friday morning, Magasiva's wife Lizz Sadler posted a photo on Instagram from Wellington airport saying "arrived".

He was born in Samoa and raised in New Zealand. He then went on to Shortland Street and Sione's Wedding.

Pua Magasiva, 38, who was best known for starring in several Power Rangers television series, shockingly passed away in Wellington, New Zealand on May 11.

Magasiva's Power Rangers Ninja Storm co-star, Jason Chan said in a Facebook post, "Incredibly sad to hear that one of our ranger family is gone. RIP Pua Magasiva you will be dearly missed". The company's chief executive Michael Boggs said about Magasiva's passing: "It is with deep sadness that the NZME family has today been told of the sudden death of Pua Magasiva". "Pua was a much-loved member of the South Pacific Pictures' family for many years and our hearts and thoughts go out to Pua's family at this time".
