As expected, a portion of Ubisoft's E3 conference was dedicated to post-launch content for Tom Clancy's The Division 2. Looking ahead, we also got a trailer for Episode 3, which will take the war outside of the city for the first time. Spier says it's an "entirely new gameplay experience, one that will take exploration, investigation, and logic to uncover the fate of a military convoy gone dark". Ubisoft expanded upon this by adding it will "confront players with cooperative challenges to take on every week as they progress through different wings of Trinity College".
Episode two, entitled Pentagon: The Last Castle, is coming this autumn, and it's set inside the so-called impenetrable walls of the Pentagon. You'll have to defend the Pentagon from Black Tusk and have access to The Division 2's second 8-player Raid.
The Division launched in 2016, and quickly became Ubisoft's best-selling game, as well as the game industry's biggest first-week launch for a new game franchise, generating around $330 million globally.
Finally, the third episode is called Coney Island: Homecoming, and will drop in early 2020.
The content will be spread over the course of three episodes. At least that's what Ubisoft is hoping, as The Division movie, based on the Tom Clancy online video game, heads to the streaming service.
