Xiaomi's Mi A2 could be about to get an upgrade

Xiaomi's excellent hardware combined with clean Android One software proved to be a winning combination, and now, we have our first look at its successor - the Xiaomi Mi A3.

Xiaomi is widely expected to launch the Mi A3 and Mi A3 Lite smartphones soon, and these will be part of Google's Android One program.

Also, I'd say the triple cameras are as good as confirmed now, and this represents a huge upgrade over the Mi A2 which was not bad in the camera department itself.

The tweet does hint that Xiaomi would launch the Mi A3 and Mi A3 Lite. The Lite variant with codename cosmos_sprout will be equipped with Snapdragon 675 chipset. We have heard few rumors about the phones, and the last one from XDA claimed that the new Mi A3 series could be powered by either Snapdragon 710 or Snapdragon 712. What's everyone looking forward to the most in the next generation of the Mi A series?

The Mi A3 is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 730 processor with two Cortex-A76 and six Cortex-A55 cores and an Adreno 618 GPU. There is no confirmation regarding those details or launch date either. The report suggests that Mi A3 and Mi A3 Lite would feature Snapdragon 730 SoC and Snapdragon 675 SoC, respectively. In terms of design, the Mi A3 will be similar to the Mi CC9 sporting a gradient 3D glass panel and a waterdrop notch.

For photography, the Mi A3 will come with a 32MP selfie shooter and a 48MP main sensor at the back joined by 8MP and 2MP units.

Furthermore, the device runs MIUI 10 based on Android 9.0 Pie operating system and draws its juices from a robust 4030mAh battery that supports 10W FAST charging. The Mi A2 was launched in India in August past year, so we expect its successor to debut sometime next month.
