A basketball player has been banned from the sport after a drug test indicated he was pregnant.
Donell "D.J." Cooper, Jr., is an American baller who has been playing internationally for teams like Greece's AEK Athens, France's Élan Béarnais and Russia's BC Krasny Oktyabr. The test results on the urine that Cooper provided as his own, revealed that he's... pregnant.
At the time, Cooper was attempting to play for the Bosnian national team and passing a drug test is a mandatory part of the process. According to the drug report, Cooper used his girlfriend's urine.
After discovering hCG in the sample, FIBA banned Cooper in 2018.
Someone replied: "I don't know if it's weirder to believe in Cooper's story or that Fiba suspends for 2 years a player for a testicular cancer".
The ban was initally kept under wraps, with Cooper issuing a statement a year ago that he wanted to take some time off to focus on family matters.
Cooper played at Ohio University from 2009-2013 and has spent much of his professional basketball career overseas.
The Chicago native played at OH from 2009-2013 before going undrafted in the NBA Draft.
