'Friends' Headed to Movie Theaters For 25th Anniversary

The show will be headed to movie theaters across the USA for a screening of 12 fan-favorite episodes throughout September and October. Over 1,000 movie theaters are expected to participate in the event, called "Friends 25th: The One With the Anniversary". The superhit USA sitcom is now heading to the big screens in the United States to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the show's premiere.

As the show inches towards its 25th anniversary celebration, multiple and varied fan events across the U.S. are expected to be held.

The three-night event will take place September 23, Sept. 28 and October 2 in more than 1,000 theaters nationwide.

The new episodes are said to have been remastered in 4K resolution.

'We could not be more excited to deliver these digitally remastered episodes to theaters - for the first time ever! - so that together, in a shared experience, our loyal fans can enjoy some of their favorite Friends scenes in a new way'. It is incredible to know the series is still bringing people of all ages together.

Tickets for will be available on Fathom Events' website beginning this Friday, when a complete list of theater locations will be released.

Created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman, Friends debuted on September 22, 1994 and aired for ten seasons.

Friends starred Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer.
