Talk about some fantastic timing. It releases on the Epic Games Store on October 4.

The news was revealed via the game's Twitter account. Originally released in 2009 for the last generation of consoles, Terminal Reality's action-adventure based on the iconic film series was lauded for its dedication to authentically replicating the movies, even going so far as to feature each main character from the films.

The game follows the player, who is a new recruit in ghostbusters, a team of parapsychologists who capture ghosts. The video that's embedded above shows how the new battle against the Stay Puft Marshmellow Man looks. The remaster will possess enhanced frame rate, and you may the resolution up to 4K if you are able.

As is the case with many titles recently, Epic Games has secured exclusive rights for the PC version, so Steam users will likely have to wait for an additional few months. One of the original game's creators just happened upon an old hard drive with all the cutscenes in the game.

While the match itself had any defects, it still stands among the better-licensed games. Moreover, it has an original story penned by the writers of the original films - Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered has received a release date of October 4, 2019. You'll also find Annie Potts, Brian Doyle-Murray, William Atherton and Max von Sydow.
