Hall County will be under heat advisory Tuesday

There is a Heat Advisory for everyone else.

Expect another round of heat and humidity as the ridge remains parked over central MS for yet another day.

Counties in the warning are: Colbert, Cullman, Franklin, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Marshall and Morgan in Alabama, and Lincoln County in Tennessee.

The United States has seen high temperatures in recent days, with much of the Southeast under a heat advisory, some areas of Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana and MS under an excessive heat warning, and some parts of Arizona and Southern California under an excessive heat watch.

The heat index topped out in "warning" range officially on Monday; according to the National Weather Service in Huntsville, it was as high as 112ºF in Florence!

Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside.

The front is predicted to break the heat wave, with high temperatures cut back to the mid and upper 80s for the rest of the week. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location.
