"I'm on my way back", he wrote alongside a video documenting his physical therapy.
It's a hopeful sign after the scary run-in he had with Mother Nature last week - when Mike's leg got acquainted with a baby rattle snake's fangs on a cross-country trek. "I still might. So don't feel sorry for me", he captioned the post.
Fans wished him well in the comments, with one saying, "Hopefully I'll get to walk with you when you're back on that grind!" "I got to the hospital and got the anti-venom in time".
He has shared a video of his rehab on Saturday evening, accompanied by the caption "Gonna rebuild with patience and equanimity".
"That venom is no joke!" he said.
Sharing his progress, he wrote on Instagram: "From 24 miles per day to using this walker to get to bathroom. Shout outs to G and Mike from the chopper team and Bo and Cassie and Whitney (my nurses)".
Mike Posner indicted that he would be hospitalised for a few days, and unable to walk for several weeks thanks to the effect of the venom. But for now, he says he is taking a break from the walk to enjoy a bed and air conditioning.
Posner intends to end his 3,000 mile journey in Venice, California. "✨" he wrote in another post.
"I'm trying to remember how to walk", he tells a hospital staffer. "I'm not walking to show people who I am". In 2016, Posner's song "I Took a Pill in Ibiza" reached No. 4 on the chart. Molly and her husband from PT are gonna come help me walk again tomorrow.
Singer-songwriter Mike Posner was hospitalized this week after he was bitten on the ankle by a rattlesnake.
