US President Donald Trump will join Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the mega "Howdy Modi!" event which will take place in Houston, Texas, confirmed the White House on Sunday.

The leaders have met on a number of occasions in the year since Mr Morrison became prime minister and Mr Trump - well known for loving a victor - applauded his surprise election win when they dined together on the eve of the G20 in Japan in June. "Shared Dreams, Bright Futures", is expected to draw tens of thousands of people.

US President Donald Trump will meet next week with the leaders of India and Australia at events in Texas and OH to promote trade and investment.

Trump will travel to Houston, Texas, and Wapakoneta, Ohio, to underscore the important partnerships between the United States and India, and Australia.

His state dinner on Friday is only the second of Trump's presidency.

The Prime Minister's itinerary includes a State Dinner at the White House, the trip to NASA headquarters and meetings with Australian tech entrepreneurs.

"There is no deeper friendship than that which exists between Australia and the United States".

Guardian Australia revealed last week Morrison will not attend the United Nations climate action summit on 23 September because the Coalition has no new climate change initiatives to announce. It does not specify what manufacturing facility the President will be visiting with the Australian Prime Minister, or whether Trump intends to address residents and supporters during the visit.
