Adam Levine Reveals The Real Reason He Left 'The Voice' On 'Ellen'

"Like, I know that's a good thing because they're my children, but that's why I don't do much..."

It's been about four months since Adam Levine left his demanding role on the USA version of "The Voice".

"It's such an awesome group of individuals, and I can't wait to help these artists really build and hone in to find their unique voices", he said. While it would certainly be understandable if Levine said he wanted to get back on The Voice to get away from the screaming tantrums of a one-year-old kid, the Maroon 5 frontman specifically wanted to spend more time with his offspring during these formative years in the young kids' lives.

Adam Levine has had a massive music career spanning many years (and too many earworm singles to count).

"You'd think that [Dusty would] like when I sang to her, but she just doesn't like it that much", Levine said, smiling sheepishly. But right now, he's exploring a whole new endeavor - and he couldn't be happier in his new role as a stay-at-home dad to daughters Dusty Rose, 3, and Gio Grace, 1.

"I'm obsessed with them", Levine admitted of his daughters.

Levine is also working on new music, although he did say Dusty isn't the biggest fan of his singing.

Best known as one-third of global pop superstars the Jonas Brothers - who just scored another number-one album with Happiness Begins - Nick Jonas also enjoyed solo success with a self-titled album and the radio hit "Jealous".

"This one moment I spent with her just kind of playing guitar, she was playing with stuff and looking up at me every once in a while".

"I'm auditioning for my daughter, which is ridiculous. You always put your family first, me and the girls are so lucky to have you", she posted on Father's Day.

Levine and Maroon 5 released the single "Memories" in September. "I don't know if I have the courage to confront her again and perform music in front of her".
