CHELSEA have been given a huge boost as France boss Didier Deschamps played down injury fears over N'Golo Kante.
"He felt a pain in his adductor muscle", Deschamps said after the game.
'I made the decision [to pull him from the squad], because maybe it could get even worse.
Chelsea have been handed a potential injury blow after N'golo Kante was replaced in the France starting line up by Tottenham's Moussa Sissoko after suffering a muscle injury in the warm up.
Asked whether Kante would play against Turkey, Deschamps said: "I do not think it's too serious for NG [Kante], but I do not have an answer tonight".
"I knew Moussa [Sissoko] would be ready".
Olivier Giroud was the focal point in attack, supported by Antoine Griezmann, with Kylian Mbappe on the injured list along with midfield playmaker Paul Pogba and Hugo Lloris, the goalkeeper and regular captain of Les Bleus.
But his latest setback could see the tireless midfielder miss Chelsea's next game against Newcastle United on October 19, with Mateo Kovacic poised to deputise if he fails to recover.
Chelsea are now 10 points behind Liverpool in the Premier League after eight games, but just two behind second placed Manchester City.
