Multiple People Shot at New Hampshire Church

Two victims with gunshot wounds, one male and one female, were transported to an area hospital by the Pelham Fire Department, Roark said. A third person suffered minor injuries while subduing the male suspect. They arrived at the scene within three minutes and found the alleged shooter "being subdued by guests of the wedding", police said.

Halloway taken into custody after some of the approximately 40 guests at the wedding "gang tackled" him and held him down until police arrived, Roark said.

"While this remains a very active scene, the State of New Hampshire will provide all necessary resources to support the community and our local partners", he said. The suspect was in custody.

Authorities responded to the church shortly after 10am ET, Chief Roark tells CNN.

The number of people injured is unknown. It said it could not disclose any other details.

The town of Pelham is located in southern New Hampshire, 23 miles south of Manchester.

The church was preparing Saturday for the noon celebration of life for Luis "Kiko" Alberto Garcia.

Brandon Castiglione, 24, has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the alleged crime.

New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu confirmed the shooting investigation and that law enforcement was on the scene.

Dale Halloway is facing assault charges after allegedly shooting Bishop Stanley Choate, 75, in the chest about 10 a.m. during a wedding at the New England Pentecostal Church, according to police.

New Hampshire Attorney General's office spokeswoman Kate Spiner says the office is aware of the situation and is working in conjunction with the Hillsborough County Attorney.
