Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff's War is on fire! The film turned the all-time highest grosser ever on its opening day and now it has surpassed the lifetime enterprise of Akshay Kumar's Kesari, Ajay Devgn's Whole Dhamaal, Prabhas' Saaho, Chhichhore, Tremendous 30 and GullyBoy in simply 5 days of its launch. The film is now heading for 30+ crore collection. The movie witnessed good growth as the day progressed. "From now, I will set my benchmark even higher", said Hrithik, at a press conference to celebrate the success of War in Mumbai on Friday. Now, the movie is to gain more momentum in the night shows. He added that the film has crossed the lifetime collections of some of the biggest hits of the year in just five days. With 35+ crores on Sunday nearly assured, the opening weekend collection would be 165+ crores. In fact, continuing its dream run, War has witnessed a significant jump at the box office in its first weekend. However, after a huge opening weekend, it should be eyeing superhit or blockbuster verdict.

War is directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Aditya Chopra under his home banner Yash Raj Films. According to Box Office India, his earlier first-day breaking records include Mission Kashmir (2000), Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), Agneepath (2012) and Krrish (2013).
