He added that the film has crossed the lifetime collections of some of the biggest hits of the year in just five days. With 35+ crores on Sunday nearly assured, the opening weekend collection would be 165+ crores. In fact, continuing its dream run, War has witnessed a significant jump at the box office in its first weekend. However, after a huge opening weekend, it should be eyeing superhit or blockbuster verdict.
War is directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Aditya Chopra under his home banner Yash Raj Films. According to Box Office India, his earlier first-day breaking records include Mission Kashmir (2000), Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), Agneepath (2012) and Krrish (2013).
