Huawei P40 design gets leaked, showing triple Leica camera

Huawei P40 leaks out with punch-hole display, triple-camera setup

The phone will likely launch, like the Mate 30 Pro, with AOSP-based EMUI 10 without Google Mobile services. Early renders of both the devices had already surfaced last month, but they are unclear on several key areas.

The render you see above has been published by the folks at 91mobiles, and is allegedly an official HUAWEI P40 render.

The Huawei P40 will come in the same colors as the Pro model, heres how they look (note the absence of the fourth module thats on the same level as the LED flash).

According to the alleged render of the Huawei P40, the smartphone will then feature a dual punch-hole at the front for a pill-shaped selfie camera design.

Its hard to make out, but if we zoom in close, it appears that the bottom camera has a square lens – the sign of a periscope zoom camera. The image also shows that the quad camera setup is powered by Leica optics. The camera does protrude from the phone.

The fingerprint reader is nowhere to be seen and that means The P40 will settle on under-display fingerprint readers.

We can also spot the speaker holes on the bottom, the USB Type-C port, the microphone hole, and the SIM card slot. On the right side of the phone, you can see the volume rocker and the power button.

As you can see from the leaked images, Huawei has continued the trend of excellent design and craftsman ship in the P40, and it will likely be the most attractive and well made device we'd recommend completely avoiding.
