Orlando Bloom, 43, showed off his new tattoo meant to spell out the name of his son Flynn in Morse code on Tuesday - but fans quickly noticed a misspelling in the permanent ink.

"If the Morse code is supposed to spell out Flynn then there is a mistake", one follower wrote.

The morse code for "R" is dot dash dot, and the morse code for "L" is dot dash dot dot. The tattoo reads "Frynn".

"New #tattoo can you guess who?" he wrote in the caption.

But fans were not so kind on social media as they bluntly called the actor out on his mistake.

Orlando Bloom paid a heartfelt tribute to his son by getting a Morse code tattoo of his name - but it turns out it was misspelled.

The tattoo artist later took to Instagram to acknowledge the error, assuring fans that it would be corrected.
