Ryan Reynolds challenges other Canadian celebrities to help #PlankTheCurve

Some have gone down well, others less so. While he did have a serious message for Canadians to 'stay at home, practice social distancing, wash your hands, ' he also jokingly questioned if he was the right person to spread the public health message.

The Deadpool actor took to Instagram on Monday to talk about the coronavirus.

"Look, stay at home".

And help him they did, with Reynolds and Buble posting their own videos and each asking fellow Canadians - including Seth Rogan, Stephen Page of the Barenaked Ladies, Shawn Mendes, Jason Priestly, YouTuber Lilly Singh and others - to do the same. "They're the ones that are going to get us through this - right after healthcare workers, of course, first responders, people who work in essential services", he said in his signature self-deprecating humour, adding mannequins, childhood imaginary friends and "400 other types of people" who were more important than celebrities.
