New Hampshire's application for SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans was approved, which will help small businesses in all 10 counties overcome the loss of revenue during the COVID-19 outbreak. Congress authorized up to $7 billion early this month for small business disaster loans through the Small Business Administration.
After disasters, such as hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, earthquakes, wildfires and public health emergencies like COVID-19, the SBA is the primary source of federal funds to assist small businesses' long-term recovery efforts.
Burton said there are ways for small business owners to streamline the loan application process.
Applicants may apply online, receive additional disaster assistance information and download applications at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela.
Many small businesses and non-profits in northwest Iowa, and across the state, are feeling the economic impact of COVID-19, but there could be help on the way. These loans carry an interest rate of 3.75 percent for small businesses and 2.75 percent for non-profits. This represents 151,500 businesses that employ over one million Tennesseans.
While the initial phase of the loan program is only open to St. Louis city and county businesses, the Partnership is working aggressively to identify resources to extend the program to St. Charles County and southwestern IL. States also may waive or reduce penalties on late tax payments.
States and municipalities are adding programs by the day. The National Governors Association offers a list of governors' websites. The grants will be provided to businesses in more than 30 countries.
