United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says it is unlikely highly rated teenager Angel Gomes will be staying at the club.

Fresh from making a 200 Premier League appearance of his career, in the recent draw at Tottenham, Matic wants to add further to that tally and ensure a strong end to the campaign for the Reds in both the league and the cup competitions.

"I'm looking forward to him getting more minutes and he'll definitely score a goal soon".

"I've been here for so many years myself as a striker and Teddy Sheringham comes in, Dwight Yorke comes in, Ruud van Nistelrooy comes in, Wayne Rooney comes in". "If you think you've got a divine right to be playing every game and are doing so well that we're not going to look for players to replace you, you're in the wrong place".

Solskjaer said he has "always had faith" in the trio, who he believes have improved with trust and have taken responsibility at different stages of the season. I'm still waiting to see them blossom because there are parts of their game they need to improve on. "It was time to allow our forwards to feel that confidence and feel that demand of playing and being demanded to play every game", Solskjaer added.

Arsenal have hugely talented young players such as Bukayo Saka, and with head coach Mikel Arteta giving chances to youngsters, Gomes would fit in well at the Gunners.

Man Utd are now placed sixth in the Premier League table, three points behind Wolves but the Red Devils have a game in hand.

"We have loads of games against teams who have lots to play for which is of course not an easy run-in", said the United boss.

United are firmly in the hunt for a top-four finish and victory at Brighton would move them level on points with Wolves in fifth and two shy of four-placed Chelsea - albeit having played a game more than Frank Lampard's Blues.

"The players are working really hard and want to do as well as they can and, for me, as a team we're trying to implement our ideas", Solskjaer said.

Solskjaer hasn't ruled out the possibility of signing a new striker, but for now he is pushing Martial to rise to the challenge. I don't know where, what the talks are behind the scenes.

"But he knows that we trust him".
