Battletoads release date has been confirmed for August

Battletoads Are Back This August After 26 Years Since Their Last Game

Battletoads Xbox One and PC Game Will Debut in August 2020

Battletoads will release on Xbox Game Pass on August 20, 2020, for Xbox One and PC. The remaster of the original game is also now available to play on Game Pass via the Rare Replay collection. Taking on the Dark Queen and her "abominable allies", you'll be able to play in couch co-op with up to three players, facing challenges and puzzles together. But after 1994, the Battletoads series remained pretty dormant until 2018 when Microsoft teased a modern revival of the game.

More details about Battletoads will be revealed in the next couple of weeks, Microsoft promised, including gameplay footage, first glimpses of new collectible merchandise, and even exclusive giveaways, so stay tuned.

Basically, we should expect the upcoming Battletoads game to include different difficulty levels, which will allow those who lack split-second reflexes to beat it, at least that's what Microsoft suggests in the announcement. The new Battletoads game is the first in 26 years, with Zitz, Rash, and Pimple making their return in a sequel that will be free to play for subscribers to the Game Pass service.

The game will also be available on Steam.

Developed by Dlala Studios with help from Rare, it's also coming to Game Pass on both console and PC.

PC platform Steam just showed the game page for video game Battletoads and its official release date.
