Talking about the OxygenOS, the next OxygenOS 11 is incoming and will be based on Android 11. This, however, might change soon, as the company has started hinting about the arrival of the always-on display feature on the OnePlus devices. The Geekbench listing hints that the smartphone has an octa-core processor coupled with an 8GB RAM and runs on Android 11. So, if you are buying the new OnePlus Nord, then it is highly recommended that you at least put on the clear soft case that comes out-of-the-box. Those particular model numbers are associated with the term "SM6350", which turns out to be the part number for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 5G SoC.

Earlier, OnePlus 8 Pro got the same problem, but this issue is a manufacturing issue or something else which can be solved with a software update, it is not known yet. It has scored a whopping 912 points on single-core and 3288 points on multi-core tests. Moreover, the upcoming OS will be rolled out to OnePlus 6 and above where the latter was released in 2018 but given the pattern OnePlus follows, it is imminent. Beyond that, there isn't much that we can decode from the benchmark site.

OnePlus may not want to release this particular Nord model in the U.S., but the company definitely plans to launch a Nord-branded handset later this year, 5G connectivity included.
