The news comes on the same day that the county saw 73 new positive cases of COVID-19, raising that total to 29,519.
156 of the new cases were reported in Dublin, with cases also reported in Waterford (22), Donegal (13), Wicklow (11), Limerick (nine), Kildare (eight), Clare (five) and 31 spread between Carlow, Cork, Galway, Kerry, Laois, Longford, Louth, Mayo, Meath, Offaly, Tipperary, Westmeath and Wexford. The number of positive cases in Los Angeles County far exceeds all other counties in the state, with Riverside County coming in second at around 55,000 cases, per state data.
Altogether, the state has confirmed 26,842 cases of COVID-19 since March.
As of Monday, the county has administered a total of 150,479 COVID-19 tests, and 120,707 returned negative results. The number of hospitalized patients is down from about 1,000 new daily admissions just a few weeks ago. The total number of active cases is 36 students and three staff. There have been 4,419 deaths related to COVID-19 in Ohio. 11 through Sep. 13.
Starr County has a total of 2,948 people who have recovered from COVID-19, and 146 have died due to COVID-19.
On Sunday, Beshear reported 536 new COVID-19 cases, of which 87 cases involved children ages 18 and under, and three new deaths.
The national total takes account of the denotification of one previously-confirmed case.
Health officials Monday also said they have designated 14,470 people as having recovered from the disease, though the number is nearly certainly higher because of gaps in reporting.
