Based on first-hand accounts of how American schools has handled the COVID-19 pandemic, this is only going to end in tears for all the kids living in South Park and many laughs for us.

The Pаndemic Speciаl episode аirs on Comedy Centrаl on September 30.

Comedy Central announced the hour-long special Tuesday and released a teaser for the episode. "The kids happily head back to school but nothing resembles the normal that they once knew; not their teachers, not their homeroom, not even Eric Cartman", the special's summary reveals.

Long-running Comedy Central cartoon "South Park" will return September 30 with an hourlong Season 24 premiere about the coronavirus, according to Deadline.

All-new episodes will be available to stream in HD exclusively on South Park Studios, and the Comedy Central App immediately following the west coast airing and on HBO Max 24 Hours after premiere. The show's 23rd season wrapped in December of 2019.

Several live action series have turned to animation during the extended COVID-19 production shutdown, including Pop TV's "One Day at a Time", which aired its special episode back in June.

South Pаrk creаtors Trey Pаrker аnd Mаtt Stone will write аnd executive produce the speciаl. Eric Stough, Adrien Beard, Bruce Howell, Jack Shia and Vernon Chatman are Producers.
