Three COVID-19 Cases in Mason County Friday

Bell County has had a total of 440 COVID-19 cases with seven people now hospitalized, who range in age from 49-93. This brings the total to Three Hundred Seventy-Five (375) positive cases in Mason County.

The Springfield-Greene County Health Department announced Saturday afternoon the county's 44th death connected to complications of COVID-19.

Lycoming County has seven hospitalized COVID-19 patients, none are on a ventilator.

Knox County has had a total of 11 COVID-19 deaths with the most recent death occurring on August 25.

The state DOH said in an email that a person being retested does not count as a new case, "If someone tests positive, and then has later positive tests, they are only counted as that one positive case".

So far, McCreary County has had no COVID-19 deaths.

Approximately 10,056 of our total cases are among health care workers.

Since June 9, there have been an additional 640 cases reported there, according to the Laurel County Health Department. There were 332 COVID-19 patients in acute care in Dallas County for the period ending on Thursday, September 10.

Whitley County has had a total of 241 COVID-19 cases.

Deaths at the three facilities as of September 11 totaled nine at Symphony at The Tillers of Oswego, two at Hillside Rehab and Care and three at the Association for Individual Development.

A county is considered to be at warning level status when it reaches two or more risk indication thresholds for measuring COVID-19. A total of 197 cases have been released from isolation.

"There are concerning numbers in that the R naught has gone up as well as we've seen an increase in some other metrics and the Public Health Committee is meeting today to look at these factors and ascertain any root causes and information that may be helpful in controlling the spread", said Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins in a statement Friday. "Our positivity rate is also going up".

In nursing and personal care homes, there are 21,844 resident cases of COVID-19, and 4,742 cases among employees, for a total of 26,586 at 951 distinct facilities in 61 counties.
