Former "Home Improvement" star Zachery Ty Bryan was arrested in OR on Saturday, accused of trying to strangle his girlfriend, according to reports.

Police were called to the apartment of Bryan, 39, from the USA state of OR, on Friday (local time).

The Eugene Police Department told the AP that Bryan is accused of assaulting his 27-year-old girlfriend by obstructing her breathing and grabbing her phone to keep her from calling 911. The victim declined to receive medical treatment. They arrested Bryan at the scene and he has been charged with strangulation, fourth-degree assault, and interfering with making a report. It wasn't immediately known if he had a lawyer who could speak on his behalf.

American actor Zachery Ty Bryan has been taken into custody over three charges, one of which involved him allegedly strangling his girlfriend. He has also appeared in Fast & The Furious: Tokyo Drift, Veronica Mars, The Game of Their Lives, Smallville, Cold Case and E.R.
