Justin Bieber Delivers Emotional Performances Of 'Holy' & 'Lonely' On 'SNL'

Saturday Night Live’ Ratings Slip With Host Issa Rae Remain Above 2019 Levels – Deadline

Justin Bieber delivers emotional 'Saturday Night Live' performances and fans can't get enough

At the end of his performance, Justin appeared to be overcome with emotion, remaining hunched over with his hands on his knees.

But in "Lonely", Bieber doesn't lionize fame - instead, the song paints a much more realistic image of what it means to be world famous as a teenager. He also brought out Chance the Rapper, who is featured on the single. After looking at his reflection in a mirror, he slowly got up and walked through the dimly lit halls of Studio 8H. During one skit, titled "Your Voice Chicago", Rae plays the role of a lead counselwoman for the N.A.A.C.P. who is discussing the upcoming elections on a talk show.

Following Bieber's performances, fans immediately showered him with praise on Twitter, with many calling "SNL" numbers "fantastic" and "amazing".

While singing, Justin started off backstage at SNL before making his way through the crowd and ended up singing on stage.

Justin debuted his newest tune, "Lonely", which he dropped on Friday, Oct. 16.

Back in September 2019, Bieber posted on social media about mental health, reflecting on the mistakes he had made in his past.

"When Justin Bieber sang Holy (available on iTunes) on #SNL, my family gathered at the table and felt the holy spirit enter the room to bless us".
