Now, Bell is giving an update on her husband's health in a new interview with Ellen DeGeneres. Scroll down to see what she said.

And in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, which will air Wednesday, Kristen Bell said that when fighting her own demon, she made a decision to stand next to the actor and podcast host.

Kristen Bell, for her part, also seems to be taking a level-headed approach to the issue, knowing that everyone has stuff they have to take care of themselves.

Kristen Bell talks about Dax Shepard's recent relapse after 16 years of sobriety. He said it was his motorcycle accident in August that led to his full relapse. She further said that all persons have their demons maybe in the form of depression or anxiety, and sometimes it is substance abuse.

The good place The actress added that one of Shepard's strengths is to keep moving. However, it did not work out as their expectation.

"The thing I love most about Dax is ... that he was able to tell me and tell us and say, "We need a different plan". Their main goal was to Kristen administering him medication if for any reason he has to take it.

According to Kristen though, Dax believes he "needs a stronger plan".

Bell further mentioned that recovery could also be addictive for her husband as he has a very addictive personality. Evolving and growth is his addiction, and further, he did not want to put his family at risk anymore.

"I will continue to stand by him because he's very, very worth it", she adds.

The two are working on a new plan and have also returned to therapy.

After struggling with cocaine and alcohol addiction, Shepard became sober in 2004.On an episode of his podcast, " Armchair Expert", back in September, the actor shared that he recently relapsed.

"Shepard titled the episode, "Episode 7", a reference to the seven days that had passed without using any substances at the time of recording".
