Let Me Love You Like A Woman was first spotted by eagle-eyed fans who noticed its Spotify listing, before being confirmed yesterday by Del Rey on Instagram.

In the lengthy statement then, she also teased the release of her album for September 5, which has since been pushed. "/ I only mention it 'cause I'm ready to leave LA / And I want you to come", she sings. We're not surprised that Lana Del Rey, whose summer was marked by a public breakup with a police officer and controversial comments on color artists, could use a change.

Lana Del Rey's new single "Let Me Love You Like a Woman" was released Thursday night, a few hours early of its expected Friday release. Back in May, she was criticized after showing up wearing a mesh face mask to a signing for her poetry book Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass. "Let me shine like a diamond/Let me be who I'm meant to be/Talk to me in poems and songs/Don't make me be bittersweet".

Musically, "Let Me Love You Like a Woman" does far less to shake up our idea of Lana Del Rey. Its sound is similar to "Mariners Apartment Complex" and "Hope Is a Dangerous Thing for a Woman Like Me to Have- but I Have It", both songs from her previous album.
