Chelsea Star's Agent Ready To Hold Crunch Talks With Blues

Giroud threatens Lampard

Giroud thinks about leaving Chelsea in January

"I'm clearheaded, I know what it is, we discussed it again".

Olivier Giroud's recent career has had its ups and down.

Inter believe Giroud could create a formidable partnership with his former Chelsea team-mate, Gonzalo Higuain - according to The Mirror.

The World Cup victor has experienced mixed fortunes during his time at Stamford Bridge.

"Effectively, since the start of September, things have changed but what has not changed is his capacity to play matches for France, contrary to what was said by certain others", Manuello told FootMercato.

Fabregas played under Mourinho during his second spell with Chelsea and played two seasons under Guardiola during his return to the Camp Nou.

Asked about his client's current situation at Chelsea, Manuello told French outlet Foot Mercato: "We must not be blind and Frank Lampard has made a decision to put Tammy Abraham before him".

The 34-year-old is yet to make Frank Lampard's starting XI this season in the Premier League or Champions League, with his one start in six appearances coming in the League Cup.

Giroud nearly left the club last January with Inter Milan and Tottenham among the interested clubs but chose to fight for his place, playing a key role in the run-in once the season resumed following lockdown, scoring seven goals in 12 appearances as Chelsea finished fourth in the League. But he (Lampard) has the right, it is his choice, "he said".

'So effectively if things continue like this, in December we will find ourselves where we were in December 2019.

However, under Didier Deschamps, the French striker has scored five goals in his last eight global outings.

"We have to be honest: if this continues, thinking about him first and foremost, we will have to seek a change", added an angry Mickael Manuello about Giroud, who has scored 29 goals and 13 assists in his 94 games for Chelsea over the last two and a half years.
