Ariel Pink Dropped by Mexican Summer After Appearing at Pro-Trump Riots

Mexican Summer cuts ties with Ariel Pink after he attends pro-Trump riot

Indie musician Ariel Pink has been dropped from his label after he confirmed attending the Trump rally that led to the violent attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Mexican Summer tweeted that they would stop working with the artist, real name Ariel Rosenberg, on Friday.

"Due to recent events, Mexican Summer and its staff have made a decision to end our working relationship with Ariel Rosenberg AKA Ariel Pink moving forward", a tweet from the label said.

Pink reacted by tweeting that he had attended the rally to show support for President Donald Trump, and explained that he went back to his hotel to take a nap after the event.

The Mexican Summer is also slated to release a series of "Ariel Archives" on January 29th.

He has collaborated with many well-known artists including Miley Cyrus, Charli XCX and Sky Ferreira.

Responding to a Twitter consumer who drew consideration to his attendance, Pink mentioned: " I used to be in DC to peacefully present my assist for the president. "They did not waste time, save friends, now cancel me and reprimand me before they look for you", only to dispel all doubts about his work, wrote the ridiculous slogan" Vote for Trump".

Meanwhile, Pink explained last month that he is "not MAGA", a reference to Trump's platform of "Make America Great Again", but that he stands against President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.
