The actor's death was confirmed by his daughter, actress and TikTok personality Caitlin Reilly, with a heartfelt message on Instagram shared with a photo of the late star holding her as a baby.

John Reilly started out his career in soaps on As the World Turns as Dr. Dan Stewart. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends".
She continued: "I'm so grateful he was mine".
He reprised his character on General Hospital for the long-running show's 50th anniversary year in 2013.
However, his biggest breakout came on General Hospital as Sean Donely. "Rest in peace. #GH".
He joined the show in February, 1984 and spent 11 years playing both the show's good guy and villain.
"John's sensitivity and kindness was most apparent with his family and friends", Hughes wrote.

Reilly voiced the archer Hawkeye on the animated "Iron Man" series from 1994 to 1996.
Reilly would later play a role in such primetime soapy dramas as "Dallas", "Dynasty", "Beverly Hills, 90210", "Melrose Place" and "Paper Dolls". He also had recurring roles as Del Douglas on "Sunset Boulevard" from 1997 to 1999 and as Alistair Crane on "Passions" from 2005 to 2008.
Reilly is survived by his wife, Liz, and his three daughters, two of whom from a previous marriage.
