Greene seemed keen to get Ocasio-Cortez's attention, shouting "Hey Alexandria" twice when it was clear the NY congresswoman would not engage, then hurrying after her, The Post reported.

Following the incident, Greene, who has been a controversial figure since her election in 2020, continued her attack of Ocasio-Cortez on social media.

According to those reporters, Greene shouted at her colleague twice, yelling, "Hey Alexandria!"

In the video, from a since-deleted Facebook Live of Greene's that was saved by CNN's KFile, Greene tells Ocasio-Cortez to "get rid of your diaper", referring to the congresswoman's office as a "day care".

U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is reportedly raising security concerns in Congress over fellow Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a self-described democratic socialist. "You are also a hate-America terrorist sympathizer".

Ocasio-Cortez kept walking, pausing only to throw up her hands in a gesture of exasperation, said the witnesses.

Since taking office, Ms Greene has positioned herself as one of the most antagonistic members of Congress. "Nutty. Cortez", Greene says to the camera on the way to the congresswoman's office, mispronouncing "Ocasio".

"We hope leadership and the Sergeant at Arms will take real steps to make Congress a safe, civil place for all Members and staff - especially as many offices are discussing reopening", AOC spokesperson Lauren Hitt told the Post.

US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi has called for an ethics inquiry into a Republican for a "verbal assault" on another lawmaker.

"This is beneath the dignity of a person serving in the Congress of the United States", Pelosi remarked, further stating that it "probably is a matter for the Ethics Committee".

In February, the Democratic-controlled House voted to strip Greene of her committee assignments - a move that increased her notoriety. She added that Ocasio-Cortez was "reacting like a child".

She accused President Joe Biden of issuing a "blanket statement" that failed to acknowledge the root causes of the crisis which included the Israeli police raid of the Al-Aqsa mosque and the looming evictions of dozens of Palestinians from their homes in East Jerusalem.

Anyway, the confrontation was actually pretty one-sided with MTG challenging AOC to a debate on global warming and accusing her of supporting "terrorists". 'This is not neutral language.
